Murray Grant Prost passed away on July 11th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 19th, 1954 to Bill and Betty Prost in Melfort, SK. Murray started his education at Kew Garden School and then finished high school in Pleasantdale, SK. After completing high school, Murray got a job in Estevan with Flint Construction. He met Gail Jestin in Naicam in 1973. He moved to Regina in 1975 and worked for MelCor Homes, and that was the beginning of his love for carpentry. He then attended SIAST in Moose Jaw, and achieved his Journeyman Ticket. Murray married Gail on June 5th, 1976 and they lived in Regina for four years until the love of the Melfort area, and all it offered, took Murray and Gail back to Melfort. He started Prost Homes Ltd., which he ran from 1980 to 2019. He mentored many “Boys” and was very proud of “His Guys” and all of their accomplishments. Murray worked hard and he also played hard. He loved sledding, hunting, fishing, golfing, relaxing on the boat, sitting on their deck and enjoying nature in it’s every aspect.
Murray will be lovingly missed by his wife Gail, and all his family and friends.

Thinking of you Gail and sending hugs your way. I have fond memories of Murray as being such a kind and fun loving guy! The time we visited yous at your cabin in Greenwater was especially memorable when he put on his cowboy hat & ripped jean, and danced to the tunes! Hope all your cherished memories of him help get you through this difficult time.

Dear Gail, Thinking of you and wishing there were words to express our sympathy. May memories of happy times bring you comfort during this difficult time. 💐 🔨 (Kevin's memory is how much Murray enjoyed the song "I think we're alone now" sung as though Elmer Fudd was singing it).

We will always remember Murray's bright smile, kind eyes and his love of life at Kip. Whether we were snowmobiling, ringing in NYE, or floating on the water, Murray made our time at Kip just that much more fun. Our sincere condolences to you, Gail. He touched more people than you can even begin to imagine-and isn't that what life is all about? We will miss him!
Love, Todd and Lianne Borstmayer
