Lawrence Michael Buhay Jr was born October 10, 1979 and passed away suddenly on May 21, 2019 at his parents’ home at the age of 39 years. Lawrence is survived by his beautiful children: Gwenyth Campbell (Tristan St. Germain) and Donavon Puttick; his parents: Lawrence Buhay Sr (Chantal Peterson) and Marilyn (Howard) Banman; his sister Tabitha Buhay (Leon Malcolm); his half brother Jon Luc Buhay (Sarah Nelson); step sisters: Crystal Banman and April (David)Armstrong; step brother Christopher Banman and numerous other family members.

Lawrence was excited to be a grandfather, heading back to the lake and working on his much-needed tan. He lit up when he talked about the last time he was there with his children, fishing and enjoying the sun, watching the stars and always claiming to have witnessed some sort of alien life!

A very special memory of his was his month in LaCasa, BC with his sister ‘Taboo’ and dreamed of the chance to go back where he found such peace.

He was always kind and if anyone ever had a problem (day or night) he was the first person to give hugs, lend a hand, or offer you all his time.

He was such a fun-loving, gum chewing, social butterfly with an old soul and a love for music! He cared about his friends to a fault, he was known by many and impossible not to love.

He loved thunderstorms; watching, chasing, and walking in them and when he had to go to his "nothing place" he would play the game Civilization, or endlessly try to teach his sister about quantum physics (using cat videos), tectonic plates, and of course the government.

He was smart, a great cook and truly was a beautiful old soul, with a heart of gold.

He will forever and always be missed. We love you so much Larry!

Rest in peace until we meet again!!

I was so fortunate to have taught Lawrence at Broadway School. He was caring, kind and very thoughtful of others. Even in later years when we’d meet I was welcomed by his warm smile and friendly hello. I also knew Lawrence as a parent when I taught Gwen. I have fond memories of him and the Buhay family. I will miss seeing him because along with all the students I’ve taught he will always have a very special place in my heart. Rest In Peace and know how much you were loved and thought of. Condolences and prayers to his family. . ❤️

My heart hurts for you Lawrence and Marilyn, Tabitha, and Jon Luc. it sounds as if you have lots of memories to cling to. Memories will never replace your son and brother but they do help some. Take care of each other.
